The XII Nauryz Meetings of the NIS “Biomedicine, Engineering and Technology” are being held in Astana. .Petropavlovsk NIS schoolchildren take part in them
On March 15, 2023, the XII Nauryz meetings “Biomedicine, Engineering and Technology” began in the autonomous educational organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools”.
Nauryz meetings are a landmark tradition of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools”, which consolidates the scientific talents and research inspiration of students with the main traditions of the spring holiday. These are the March contests of scientific projects, which have been held since 2011 and are devoted to the most relevant topics among the global priorities of modern science.
Young scientists from all Intellectual schools who are successfully working on various projects on the introduction of artificial intelligence, robotics, machine thinking, big data in various healthcare sectors met in Astana. The research works of schoolchildren are devoted to 3D bioprinting, the creation of smart prostheses and biointerfaces and other relevant priorities of modern medicine.The Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev called the Nauryz meetings NIS the first step in big science.
– The historical significance of Kulyash Nogatayevna Shamshidinova’s initiative to create Nauryz meetings is that a unique platform for young scientists has appeared in the country. I am sure that in a few years we will hear the names of today’s participants among the authors of world discoveries and Nobel laureates,” admitted Gani Beisembayev.
– The mission of the Nauryz meetings is to arouse the interest of schoolchildren in science and introduce them to the main world trends, – said the famous statesman, the owner of the badge “Honorary Teacher of Kazakhstan” Kulyash Shamshidinova.
Chairman of the Board of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” Anuar Zhangozin noted the relevance of biomedicine and the introduction of artificial intelligence in healthcare as the main topic of Meetings, and the desire of young scientists to work in one of the most popular areas of global science.Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk have also prepared their works for Nauryz meetings. In total, the guys presented 4 projects. Among them are a study of the variability of the C-reactive protein gene, a smart pillbox for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, an orientation system for people with partial or complete blindness and a website solving the problem of adolescent inactivity.
The event was also attended by students of the support school in the village of Kishkenekol.
