Connoisseurs of proverbs

At the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Petropavlovsk a competition “Soz muyegi – maqal-matel” was organized within the framework of the project “Proverbs used in my life.”

Teams of eighth-graders from the school took part in the competition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Students competed in the knowledge of proverbs on the theme of the Motherland and the native land. In the first round, the participants had to continue the proverbs proposed to them. In the round “Who is faster?” the teams compiled proverbs from individual words and explained their meaning. In the final competition, a representative of each group competed in the knowledge of proverbs. According to the results of the competition, the team of grade 8 B took first place. 2nd place went to grade 8 D, 3rd place went to grade 8 A. The best proverbial expert – Daria Amangeldy, student of grade 8 B received a letter of thanks.
