Acceptance of documents began at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk

 

On January 5, the acceptance of documents for schoolchildren of the region, wishing to enter the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology, in Petropavlovsk, began. Any sixth-grader in the region can apply to participate in the competitive selection by February 21st. On April 14-15, complex testing for the award of educational grants will take place. Applicants who have successfully passed the test will become students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School. 

 

– Students of the 6th grade who wish to continue their studies at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in the 2022-2023 academic year can take part in this competition. The educational grant of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy “Orken” provides for free education at school. Also, grant holders are provided with school uniforms and sportswear, free meals. We provide children from districts and auls with a free hostel, – explained Daniyar Ualiev, the principle of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School. 

The selection committee works from January 5 to February 21 this year. North Kazakhstan citizens can apply for their children from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 18.00, and on Saturdays from 9.00 to 13.00. To participate in the competitive selection, when contacting the selection committee, applicants provide a copy of the birth certificate, IIN of the applicant, a copy of the identity card of the legal representative indicating the IIN and a copy of the report card for the last academic year, certified by the signature of the head and sealed by the relevant educational organization. The rest of the documents are filled out at the selection committee. Digital photography is carried out by members of the commission. Before attending school, parents need to book a time in advance on the school’s website.

– On April 14-15, 2022, comprehensive testing of applicants will take place. Students in grades 6 will be assessed knowledge of mathematics, quantitative characteristics, natural science, Kazakh, Russian and English languages. Before the comprehensive testing, candidates have the opportunity to take paid mock tests at the school base to determine their level and for preparation, – added Daniyar Ualiev.

It is worth noting that this year a number of changes were made to the rules for awarding the “Orken” grant. With an equal number of total test scores for several students, priority is given to applicants with the highest scores in certain subjects. The basic rules can be found here.
