95 percent of graduates of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk became grant holders

According to the results of the 2022-2023 academic year, all 59 graduates of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Petropavlovsk entered the desired higher educational institutions. The students will continue their studies at domestic and foreign universities.

12 graduates of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Petropavlovsk received invitations from leading universities in Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. For the first time in the history of the school, this year’s graduate Kamila Bekkozhina received a grant from the International University of Tokyo (TIU). And Olzhas Kusayyn won a full scholarship from one of the best universities in Asia – the City University in Hong Kong. 47 students enrolled in Kazakh higher education institutions.

– 16 graduates of the Petropavlovsk NIS have won grants from the best university in the country, Nazarbayev University. 31 graduates (52%) will also continue their studies at universities in Kazakhstan. Of these, 30 children received state grants. The most popular universities among our students are Nazarbayev University, Suleiman Demirel University, KazGUU named after M.Narikbayev, KazNMU named after S. Asfendiyarov, Astana IT University, – said Daniyar Ualiyev, the principle of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological direction of Petropavlovsk.

Graduates have chosen different areas of specialties. Traditionally, most of the graduates will master engineering and IT specialties (37.2%). 15% enrolled in medicine, 14% chose science. 13% of graduates will study economics, another 7% have chosen humanities.
There has been a positive trend of admission of NIS graduates to the world’s top universities. This year, 2 students entered universities in the TOP 100 of the QS ranking – City University of Hong Kong, in 54th place and Chinese University of Hong Kong University in 34th place.
