The competition “Teacher of the Year” was organized in the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk. 11 teachers of the school took part in it.
The competition “Teacher of the Year” in the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk is held annually. This year, 11 teachers are participating in it. First of all, the contestants organized the exhibition “My pedagogical credo”. The jury members and students were able to get acquainted with the portfolio, methodological developments, publications and other materials of teachers demonstrating their achievements as a professional. Also, as a homework assignment, they prepared a business card “I am a person, I am a Teacher”, where they presented themselves, revealing their personality, professional image, and teaching concept.
Already at the “Parade of Planets” stage, the jury of the competition was able to participate in the open lessons of the participants. Each contestant actually showed his pedagogical skills. Next, at the “Oratorical Art”, teachers had to demonstrate their oratorical skills, the ability to reveal the topic of the speech, the degree of proficiency in literate speech. And at the “Pedagogical situation” stage, the participants presented solutions to the proposed problematic pedagogical situation in the form of a role-playing game.
As a result of the school stage, the Grand Prix was awarded to the teacher of the Kazakh language and literature Dinara Mukanova. English teacher Dastan Miyashev won the first place. The second place was awarded to the teacher of Russian language and literature Aigul Zhuldaspayeva and the teacher of mathematics Arman Mendybayev. The third places were shared by geography teacher Olzhas Zhakupov, history teacher Zhanar Kasienova, chemistry teacher Anna Meshchanova. Aslan Kusainov, Saltanat Zhumabekova, Zhanat Isalin and Aliya Moldakhmetova were awarded special nominations. “Teacher of the Year 2023” NIS Petropavlovsk will provide the honor of our school at the next stage of the competition.
