The event “NIS challenge” was simultaneously held in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools across the country. It was attended by students and graduates of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk.
The Association of Graduates of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools of the country — Alumni NIS, the corporate fund “Development Fund” and school administrations have been holding the event “NIS challenge” for the second year. It is attended by graduates of different years and students of schools. The children participate in an intellectual game, test their knowledge about their native schools, history and famous figures of our country. In addition, fundraising will be held during the event — fundraising takes place by selling various items. Every year, NIS graduates direct these funds to a variety of charitable purposes.
— This year we intend to collect 100 thousand tenge in each of the 22 Intellectual schools of the country. These funds will be used to pay for the Orken grant for a student from socially vulnerable segments of the population who has not received a grant to study at one of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, but is on the reserve list. Thus, thanks to the funds raised, another child will have the opportunity to study at our school,” said Alumni NIS Ambassador, a graduate of the school in 2022, Zhaina Kenzhetaeva.
In addition, thanks to the NIS Challenge event, the continuity of generations is realized and graduates of different years meet with current students, share knowledge, give advice.
— I am very glad to return to my native school. This place has a special meaning for me. Therefore, I am ready to return to my school again and again and help in any way I can. Today I was glad to see my teachers, classmates,” said Yerkhat Fayzulla, a graduate of the school in 2021.
The event was attended by more than 20 graduates of NIS Petropavlovsk in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022. Today, the total number of NIS graduates exceeds 17 thousand people. They intend to continue their good endeavors in the future. Today Alumni NIS implements projects “Ayaldama”, “Beles”, “Samgau”, “Talim”, “NIS Challenge”, which are aimed at uniting graduates and supporting students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
