Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk was represented in robotics competitions by the ArtaRobotics team consisting of 8 participants — students of grades 8, 9 and 10. Young designers presented a project to provide residents of the region with heat.

— We have defined our project as “Solving the shortage of electric energy in our region.” This topic is especially relevant now, in connection with the problems at the CHP. We proposed our own project and constructed a robot. Our plant converts wind energy into thermal energy thanks to sand batteries. So the residents will be warm, – said the student of the 10th “A” class, the leader of the ArtaRobotics team, Taimas Edrisov.

“Central Asia First Championship— 2023” was organized by the public foundation “USTEM Robotics” with the support of the republican scientific and practical center “Daryn”. The International Robotics Championship reveals the intellectual, creative and engineering potential of schoolchildren, forms creative thinking and a non-standard approach to solving set goals and tasks through the use of digital technologies. On the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the FIRST program began its development in 2017 and is actively spreading to this day. The FIRST program consists of three competitions: FIRST LEGO League (from 4 to 16 years old), FIRST Tech Challenge (from 12 to 18 years old), FIRST Robotics Competition (from 14 to 18 years old). One of the directions of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge is the senior category of the program. Students from 10 to 16 years old are engaged in research, problem solving, coding and design. In this way, they create and program a Robot that performs a specific mission in a robot game. They also participate in an Innovative Project to identify and solve the relevant real problem.
At the championship, which unites talented schoolchildren in the field of designing and programming robots, 1200 young designers from all over the republic competed with our schoolchildren. Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk were awarded the nomination “Breakthrough”. In addition to the award, each participant received valuable experience and vivid impressions, as well as gained new friends and like-minded people.
