The project “Youth and Heritage: Learn, Promote and Preserve” was organized by the Kazakhstan Federation of UNESCO Clubs with the aim of actively involving youth in the protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage. In total, 178 teams of 3 people from all over Kazakhstan took part in the republican educational and practical project.

– First of all, a special online educational program was organized for us. Within 5 days we learned about the importance of cultural heritage, about its preservation. Thanks to this knowledge, we decided to continue to participate in the republican competition of tourist routes “Youth and Heritage”. For the competition, our team has developed a “Cultural and Historical Route in Petropavlovsk,” said Alina Nikitina, a 12th grade student.

– We brought up an interesting fact that our Street Constitution of Kazakhstan is the longest in the world. Its length is 2 km 200 meters. But Gothenburg Street, with a length of 2 km, was added to the Guinness Book of Records, – noted the 12th grade student Symbat Zhamalbay.

– We have included in the project the Residence of Abylai Khan, the Eternal Flame Monument, the Regional Museum of History, the Monument to Abai and Pushkin, the stele of independence, as well as the Museum of fine arts. Most of the route passes through the street of Constitution of Kazakhstan ”, also shared 12 F grade student Polina Predybailo.
